Font Peek Privacy Policy

Font Peek is a Chrome extension published by punkin.in. Chrome requires this policy because Font Peek uses host_permissions for http and https pages so it can read computed font styles on the page you are viewing.

1. What we collect

Nothing. Font Peek does not collect, store, or transmit personal data. There are no analytics, no accounts, no sign-in, and no tracking.

We do not ask for your name, email address, browsing history, or any other personally identifiable information. Installing Font Peek does not create a profile on our servers.

2. What the extension accesses

Font Peek reads computed font styles (for example font family, size, weight, line height, and related CSS values) on the current tab, only while Font Peek is open and you are inspecting that page.

  • It does not scrape page content, passwords, or form fields.
  • It does not read cookies, local storage, or login sessions.
  • It does not run in the background after you close Font Peek.
  • Font information stays in your browser for that inspection session and is not sent to punkin.in or any third party.

3. Why host permissions are requested

Broad http://*/* and https://*/* host permissions are required so Font Peek can inspect fonts on ordinary websites you choose to open. The extension only uses those permissions while you actively use Font Peek on the current tab.

Font Peek does not use these permissions to monitor sites in the background, inject ads, or build a browsing profile.

4. Local processing

All font inspection happens locally in your browser. Computed style values are shown in the Font Peek interface and are discarded when you close the extension or leave the tab.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, share, rent, or monetize user data. Font Peek has no remote servers for this product and does not send telemetry, crash reports, or usage statistics.

6. Children

Font Peek is a developer and design tool. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Font Peek after an update means you accept the revised policy.
